I wrote, directed, produced and hosted this trailer for the pilot episode of "Hills & Hops" for Outside TV -- but the star is the stunning cinematography.

As part of the sponsorship deal for producing Hills & Hops, I agreed to produce an addendum to each show promoting hiking opportunities for beginners and families. This rough cut (before sound optimization) also served as a co-host tryout for two of my most accomplished media-training students (John and Janet) within the California State Parks organization.

After convincing the four rival food bank consortiums in the Bay Area to join forces and pool funds for a holiday advertising campaign, I wrote and directed this commercial with the specific objective of showcasing the "new face of hunger" -- middle-class residents deeply affected by the economic downturn. Sometimes understatement beats all. After the success of the 2009 holiday food banks commercial, the Alameda County Community Food Bank (Oakland) added a six-figure video production to its 2010 budget. First up was a $200 video showing off ACCFB's  distribution chain for thousands of businesses and contemplating holiday food drives. Using real employees and food bank clients (the twin girls), this video went viral on Feeding America's website -- and the girls appeared on Oprah Winfrey.
