In 2010, I united the longtime rival factions of Bay Area county food banks to fund a mutual holiday campaign, with a mandate to highlight "the new faces of hunger" created by the economic downturn. I scoured nine counties for the ideal, non-traditional food bank clients -- then wrote and directed this Telly Award-winning TV commercial pairing Food Bank Executive Directors with these new faces of hunger.

This recounting of onIn a 2017 article titled "Why the Media Don't Pick Up Your Press Releases," the Society of Professional Journalists estimated that 98% of press releases were roundly ignored, proclaiming them "a relic of the past." The other 2%?
